Add a comfy vibe to any room with this doily- decorated candle holder

If you love a home that looks cozy and comfortable, then this craft is a perfect addition to any room in the house. Dress up a plain votive candle holder with a doily to bring warmth inside. You can purchase doilies at fabric stores or big-box stores in the craft section. If you don't want to go with classic white, doilies also come in black, off-white, red, and other select colors⁠—although you may need to special order any color other than off-white and black.

If you want to decorate a wider holder, use a larger doily. Just make sure the fabric is a safe distance below the top rim, as the doily is flammable. These embellished candle holders also make excellent centerpieces for wedding showers.

Materials
- Round fabric doily, 12-inch
- Marker
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
- Paintbrush
- Disposable glove

1. Place the doily flat on the work surface. Position the holder on its side, vertically, in the center of the doily. Slide the holder up until the highest edge of the doily is 1 inch below the holder's rim.

2. Wrap the doily around the holder, keeping the holder in place from the previous step. Trace around the base of the holder, on top of the doily. Unwrap the doily.

3. Cut across the doily along the top of the drawn line. Keep the top portion you cut.

4. Don the glove on the hand that will be touching the rim as you hold the glass. Apply Mod Podge to the outside of the glass where the doily will be wrapped.

5. Wrap the doily around the glass, lining up the straight edge with the bottom of the holder. Press gently. Let the Mod Podge dry, then apply a layer on top of the wrapped doily. Let it dry.

6. Place the holder on a doily as a centerpiece.
