Incorporate country style by turning a metal tray into a charming wreath

A wreath is a wonderful addition to a wall or shelf when it comes to changing up the look of interior décor. In rooms that could benefit from a country-chic addition, there’s no need to spend money at the store. Instead, set some time aside to turn a well-loved metal serving tray into a one of a kind wreath that’s full of rustic charm.
Bunching up just the right combination of faux flowers and greenery makes it simple to add both texture and dimension to a metal tray-turned wreath. Finishing off the look with a well-placed faux bird's nest complete with feathered occupants is a fun way to add some natural style to the final product. The convenience of this tray wreath lies in its mobility. While the side handles of the tray could be used to mount the wreath on the wall, it looks just as good sitting on a bookshelf or centered on a living room coffee table. Change out the flowers for a seasonal touch or leave it as it is year-round for a bright and floral look inspired by country design.

Instructions
1. Place a large metal serving tray with side handles on a flat working surface.
2. Arrange three faux white tulips on top of two stems of faux green leaves.
3. Cut 6-inches of green craft wire using wire cutters.
4. Wrap the green craft wire several times around the stems of the tulips and leaves keeping close to the top of the stems just under the leaves. Twist the ends of the wire together to secure the bouquet.
5. Place the bouquet on the bottom edge of the serving tray so the stems extend just past the center point and the tulip heads reach the middle of the left handle.
6. Cut a second length of craft wire and wrap it around the left tray handle and one of the green stems to attach the top of the bouquet to the tray.
7. Apply hot glue to the bottom interior edge of the tray and press the bouquet stems to the glue to make sure it remains firmly attached to the tray.
8. Create a second identical bouquet using three additional tulips and two stems of leaves.
9. Secure the second bouquet to the right, bottom side of the tray with craft wire and hot glue, allowing the stems of both bouquets to overlap slightly in the center.
10. Cut 18-inches of white satin ribbon using standard scissors and tie the ribbon into a bow. Cut the ends of the ribbon lengths at an angle once the bow is complete to stylize the look.
11. Apply a spot of hot glue to the back of the bow and press it to the center of the bouquet stems.
12. Apply a spot of hot glue to the top of the center of the stems and press a faux bird’s nest with two miniature birds to the glue to attach it to the inside of the tray.
13. Place the wreath upright on a bookshelf for display or mount it on the wall for added visibility.
