Don't throw out an old lampshade: Give it a new look with buttons and lace

When it’s time to add floral elegance to the living room look, or maybe it’s the ideal moment for sprucing up a nursery, there’s no reason to spend a lot of money at the store. Instead of purchasing the perfect decorative lamp considering creating something new from one that’s already at home. An old lampshade works well as a base for creating a one of a kind illuminating accessory with some help from buttons and lace.
Snipping individual flowers from a string of lace is a quick way to come up with just the right amount of feminine appeal for a new lampshade. Add a blue, yellow, or purple button to the center of the lace flower for a look that’s as charming as it is colorful. When attached across the surface of a lampshade with hot glue, these button-based flowers can make it look brand new in no time at all. Place it in a child’s room or on an end table in the living room to pay homage to the spring season accompanied by a vase of fresh flowers.
