All buttoned up: How to make an adorable button ring

One button and a small gemstone or pearl are the fun basics required to create this one-of-a-kind ring. It’s sure to get noticed and look equally great when worn all on its own or with lots of other jewelry. We started with a springy flower button, and the result is fresh and fun.

Materials
- Jar of chalk paint
- Small paintbrush
- Adjustable ring for use on the finger
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
- Small faux pearl or gemstone
DIY Everywhere
Instructions
1. Lay your button on the work surface, and pour a bit of chalk paint into your bowl.
2. Brush paint on the entire surface of the button on both sides.
3. Allow the paint to dry.
4. Apply a small drop of hot glue to one side of the button’s center.
5. Affix it to the small and flat circular extension on top of the ring.
6. Allow the glue to dry.
7. Apply another small drop of glue to the top of the flower on the ring.

8. Glue the pearl or bead onto the button, and let the glue dry.
9. Your ring is now ready to wear.
