Stylize a birdhouse in 4 simple steps

Adding a birdhouse to your outdoor patio or yard is a welcoming way to invite a variety of colorful birds to come and settle in for a season or two. You can also hang the birdhouse near a window for closeup bird-watching opportunities. When it’s time to increase the bird population near your home, consider upgrading a simple birdhouse into one that incorporates personalized style.
A small, natural wood birdhouse is generally a budget-friendly purchase but often lacks aesthetic appeal. Decorative rocks and superglue can make all the difference in adding flair to the façade. It doesn’t take long to design a birdhouse front with a lovely combination of natural materials and sparkle. Line the roof with green glitter tape to create a pleasing contrast that's likely to catch the attention of birds, too.
