Instructions
1. Lay the board down on your work surface.
2. Put the log slice on top of that so that when you drill a hole into it, your surface will be protected.
3. Drill a small hole in the top center portion of the log slice.
4. Brush away any sawdust.
5. Draw a small, simple star and a Christmas tree with the pencil below the drilled hole.
6. Take the wood burning pen and follow the traced pencil lines. It will burn the impression of the tree and the star into the log slice.
7. Cut about 12 inches of string or ribbon from the spool.
8. Find the midpoint and fold the string over so it's doubled up.
9. Loop the doubled string through the hole at the top of the log slice.
10. Tie a knot at that point so it’s situated above the hole in the ornament.
11. Tie another knot at the other end of the string. Now you will have the loop that the ornament can be hung with.
12. Trim any excess string with the scissors.
13. Your rustic ornament is now ready to be hung on the Christmas tree.
