Create rustic photo stands for next to nothing using branches and twine

Love taking tiny Polaroids but have no way to display them? These photo stands made of branches come together quickly and inexpensively to bring more rustic appeal into your home. Top a dresser or a sideboard with a few stands and display snapshots from your recent trip to the mountains.
Chances are you already have most of the materials on hand to make this project. Go on a walk and scan the ground for slender sticks or branches to use for the frame. If nothing suitable is around, check a hobby shop for decorative branches for floral arrangements. Online marketplaces also have a wide variety of branches, sticks and twigs for crafting, so you’re sure to find a type that suits your style.

Instructions
1. Using garden shears, trim four branches until they are each about 1 foot long.
2. Cross two branches in the shape of an upside-down V. Allow the ends of the branches to overlap about 1/2 inch. Hot glue the branches together at the point where they cross.
3. Place a third branch on top to resemble the letter A. Glue the branches together at the point where they cross.
4. Stand the A-shaped branches up and position the fourth branch so that it functions as a kickstand, with one end of the branch resting on top of the crossed branches from step 2. Glue the branch in place.
5. Wrap twine around the place where the three branches cross. This doesn’t have to be in any particular way, so long as the hot glue is hidden and it achieves the rustic look you want. Trim the end of the twine, and use a small amount of hot glue to secure the end down.
6. Repeat step 5 for the other two places where branches cross.
7. Display a photo on the finished holder and enjoy!
