Add rustic charm to your home in four steps. Make a votive holder with branches

Transform your living room into a serene, wooded glen with votive holders decorated with branches. Aside from imparting rustic charm, branches disperse the candlelight in a way reminiscent of a flickering campfire. The overall effect will transport you and your guests to a cozy cabin in the woods. Set a few of these beauties out on the coffee table to keep the conversation going long after your dinner party has ended.
The slender branches used in this project are from a birch tree. If you don’t have access to these trees in your area, search a hobby shop or an online marketplace for craft twigs used in floral arrangements. A battery-operated votive candle is a safe but beautiful way to illuminate the finished holder. It also lasts longer than a normal votive candle, which needs to be replaced often.
