Got extra stuff? Store it creatively with this laundry basket hanging organizer

Even those of us who are dedicated to decluttering have items that need a home when they're not in use. This laundry basket organizer DIY takes smart storage up a notch because it hangs, freeing up precious floor space.
The colored yarn embellishing the basket handles can aesthetically complement or contrast with the utilitarian ribbon that allows the basket to hang from the ceiling. Whether you have extra pillows or blankets, boxes filled with art supplies or shoes, or even miscellaneous items that are typically homeless, this basket will corral them all and elevate your space in more ways than one. Even if your home is roomy, you really can't have too many creative storage options.

Instructions
1. Stand the laundry basket on the floor.
2. Hot glue the end of one of the basket’s handles and start wrapping yarn around it.
3. Continue to apply glue and wrap the yarn around the handles until you've covered the entire handle. Make sure the yarn is wrapped tightly around the handle and that no part of the handle shows through.
4. Cut the excess yarn away from the yarn covering the handle. Glue the loose end down onto the handle.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the other basket handle.
6. Cut two pieces of ribbon, each about 12 inches long.
7. Take one and weave it through the top side and back openings of the basket. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a knot on the outer corner of the basket.
