Upgrade an old brooch into an attention-grabbing magnet

Looking for a way to keep notes neat without cluttering your fridge or whiteboard with tacky, old magnets? Create a stunning set of magnets made from brooches, and organize to-do lists in style. Even just one of these magnets would add a pop of color and a touch of glitter to a plain whiteboard. Let it hold your most important memos and never again will you forget to grab that grocery list before heading to the store.
Brooches, which are traditionally used to hold together layers of fabric or to accent clothes, sometimes fall out of fashion. These magnets are easy to create and a clever way to make use of old brooches. If you don’t have any brooches on hand, either check a local thrift store or rummage around in your jewelry box for an alternative. Large earrings or a necklace pendant would work just as well for this pretty and practical craft.
