Glitter isn't just for makeup: Use it to decorate a pumpkin

It's hard to make pumpkins look classy, but this project does just that. A little bit of glitter spray paint results in a pumpkin fit for display anywhere in your home. You also might set it outside on a porch or deck with fall flowers such as hardy mums, or in the yard among cornstalks and hay bales.
You may use any glitter color you want, but the silver and almost-white combination is best for more elegant, understated decor. Select gold glitter spray for a more ostentatious look. To add it to holiday decorating, wrap a holiday-theme ribbon around the pumpkin instead of twine. Work in a well-ventilated area to avoid being around too many fumes.

Instructions
1. Wrap painter's tape around the pumpkin about 1-1/2 inches below the stem. Cover the entire area above that line of tape, including the stem.
2. Set the pumpkin on newspaper. Put on the face mask and open a window. Turn on a fan if you have one nearby for additional ventilation.
3. Spray paint the pumpkin with the glitter spray. Let it dry completely before handling it.
4. Carefully remove the painter's tape.
5. Wrap a piece of twine or holiday ribbon around the middle of the pumpkin. Tie it in a square knot, and cut off the excess twine.
