Dogs: They love us unconditionally, and they're our automatic best friends. So what better way is there to show our little buddies we love them than by giving them something from the heart?
Dog apparel is a hot trend right now, and you don't have to live in the Hollywood hills to pull it off. Making a stylish sweater for your pup is just the project to get you started in your dog's new wardrobe. Bundling your buddy up will help your little guy or girl stay warm in style as you hit the streets.

Instructions
1. Measure the back of your dog's neck to the base of the tail, around the chest or belly, and around the neck.
1. Measure the back of your dog's neck to the base of the tail, around the chest or belly, and around the neck.
2. Create a template using these measurements, adding about an inch to each side. (A ruler works better than a measuring tape here.)
3. Cut your sweater using the ribbed section as a collar. If the sweater is wide enough, you can cut your pattern on a fold. Otherwise, cut two separate halves.
4. Pin the two halves together, and sew the back seam if necessary. Then, serge or zig-zag all the way around the sweater before turning under and sewing down.
