Materials
- Sock, 1
- Scissors
- Straight pins
- Sewing machine
- Matching thread
- Pinking shears

DIY Everywhere
Instructions
1. Cut off the top of the sock just above the heel. Discard the bottom half.
2. Turn the top of the sock inside out. Pin together the sides of the end that you just cut. Sew together the sides, leaving about ½-inch seam allowance.
3. With pinking shears, cut off the excess fabric in the seam allowance. This helps minimize any fraying.
4. Turn the sock right-side out. Sew a pearl bead to the middle of the top edge of the sock.
5. Thread the end of an elastic cord through the eye of an embroidery needle. Sew the cord into the inside of the sock, directly opposite from the pearl bead. Tie the ends of the cord together, then pull the cord through the back of the sock, so that the knot is inside and a loop is on the outside.

6. Slide your phone into the sock. Pull the loop over the top and around the bead. Your new phone cover is finished!
