Organize your kitchen with an old drawer

Anyone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen knows how inconvenient it is to waste precious moments searching for the tools you need to create your masterpiece feast. Most bakers and chefs alike probably agree that having all your go-to tools at your fingertips would save time and sanity throughout the cooking process. Luckily, there's a way you can organize your kitchen and streamline your cooking process.
Turning an old drawer into a kitchen organizer is the answer to any chef's dream. Not only will it transform your kitchen into a rustic, chic room, but it will help organize your current kitchen junk drawers and create something you'll use every day. This project is ideal for hanging cling wrap, aluminum foil, paper towels and more.

Instructions
1. Cut dowels to the length of the width of the drawer, with a little extra on one end. You'll want four equal length dowels.
2. Choose a spade drill bit the size of your dowels. Drill four holes all the way through in the back of the drawer. Measure with enough space to fit a roll of plastic wrap between them.
3. Straight across from each hole, on the front side using the same spade drill bit, drill down about 1/4 inch, enough to hold the dowel in place when inserted into the two holes. If you're worried about drilling too deep, take a piece of masking tape and tape it around the drill bit at 1/4 inch.
4. Sand down the drawer, and then wipe with a towel, paying extra attention to the areas you drilled.
5. Paint or decorate as you please. In this video, sage green chalk paint was used in contrast with the wood on the front of the drawer. If you want to keep part of your drawer the original wood, use masking tape to outline the edges and help keep the paint off the wood.
6. Once the paint has dried, insert your dowels into the spaces you drilled for them.
7. Drill and attach the cabinet knobs or handles to the front side of the drawer.
