Measure the front of a cereal box with a ruler, and build this shabby chic project

If blank walls have left you feeling disenchanted with your home or work space, consider this impressive homemade option. It's more affordable than purchasing wall art at a store, and you can customize it by choosing a print you love. If you like, make several using the same print or other colors and patterns that coordinate with the first box.
Select printed fabric in colors that will complement your home. Adhering the fabric to a cardboard cereal box will give the wall art structure and dimension. Hang it at eye level, and you'll never have to stare at a blank wall again.

Instructions
1. Measure the dimensions of the front of the cereal box with a ruler, and transfer those dimensions to a white piece of paper.
2. Cut along the lines on the paper.
3. Adhere the paper to the front of the cereal box with hot glue. This will ensure the original cereal box design doesn't show through the fabric.
4. Ensure the piece of fabric you choose is large enough to cover the front and sides of the cereal box with enough left over to glue the fabric to the back of the box.
5. Place the fabric on the work surface, print-side down, and put the cereal box, white paper-side down, on top of it.
6. Wrap the box in the fabric, applying lines of hot glue to secure the fabric to the backside. Create triangular folds at the corners as you would if you were wrapping a present.
