Open the bottom of a cereal box and create this painless concept

Word art is a popular kind of home decor, and for good reason. Artful word displays add personality to the room, make guests feel welcome, and remind you of your most cherished values. You can achieve it all using a humble cereal box to create word art. This project gives you the freedom to choose the phrase and decorate your space for next to nothing. A phrase like “There’s no place like home” reaffirms a love of family and the comforts of home, while “Always stay humble and kind” is a reminder to practice compassion.
While white letters set against a pattern of peach and gray offer preppy charm as shown in tutorial, there are plenty of ways to customize your word art. Play with paint choices and letter colors until you land on a scheme that suits your style. If you want your word art to look a little more sophisticated, assemble it on a piece of cardstock instead of canvas, then display it in a frame.

Instructions
1. Cut out the front and back side of a cereal box so you have two large rectangles of equal size.
2. Paint the blank side of one of the rectangles with the peach paint. You can speed up the drying process with a blow-dryer.
3. Divide your painted cardboard into six equal strips, each as wide as a ruler. To do this, line up the ruler with the long edge of the cardboard and the top corner. Draw a line down the board using the ruler as a straight edge. Move the ruler over so that it lines up with the line you just drew, then draw another line. Continue drawing lines in this way until there are six strips. Cut out the strips. Repeat this step for the unpainted cardboard.
4. Hot glue the strips horizontally to the canvas. In this project, there’s a pattern of two peach strips and one blank strip. Continue gluing strips to the canvas in this pattern until the canvas is full.
5. Apply “There’s no place like home” or your desired phrase to the background with the white letter stickers. With that, your cereal box word art is complete.
