Get tissue paper at the store, and copy this impressive DIY

Decorating your home is the best way to make it feel inviting and personal, and there are plenty of creative flourishes you can add to achieve that welcoming look. One of the most personal ways to decorate your home is by making artwork or wall hangings. You don’t even need to be a world-class painter or designer to do it .
With a blank canvas, some tissue paper and a hot glue gun, you can easily create a new piece of art to brighten up your living space. Choose a design that's natural or, if you prefer, more geometric. This project offers double duty as an effective way to relax. It doesn't require many skills, so even children could create their own piece.

Tissue Paper Canvas Art
Materials
- Tissue paper, about 16 sheets of filler color and at least 2 sheets of different accent colors
- Scissors
- Hot glue
- Blank canvas

Instructions
1. Cut the tissue paper into long strips, and cut those strips into squares or rectangles that are roughly the same size.
2. Crumple each piece into a ball. Try to keep the balls approximately the same size.
3. Plan out the design. The tutorial shows flowers created by arranging six balls in a circle with one ball in the middle.
4. Apply a small dot of hot glue to the canvas, and press each tissue paper ball onto it. Start with the accent colors.

5. Fill in the empty spaces with balls made out of the filler color. Apply a small dot of hot glue to the canvas, and press each tissue paper ball onto it.
6. Continue adding balls in the filler color until you fill the entire canvas.
