Dollar Tree Duster Christmas Trees
Materials You'll Need:
Scissors
Dollar Tree duster
Floral foam
Battery-operated fairy lights
Optional: Dollar Tree box or log slice
Hot glue gun (with glue sticks)
Drill (if using log slices)
Directions
Step 1: Fluff up the duster!
Hold the duster and move it back and forth in your hands to make the fibers stand upright.
Step 2: Trim the Duster
Starting from the top middle, angle your scissors out towards the edge, cutting about three-quarters of the way down. Periodically spin-fluff the tree to maintain an even shape.
Step 3: Remove the Handle
Unscrew the handle from the duster. A bit of hot glue may need to be broken, but this will make it easier to handle the wire spine.
Step 4: Add Fairy Lights
Wrap the battery-operated LED fairy lights around the duster tree, starting at the top and working your way down. Conceal the wire within the fluff for a clean look.
Step 5: Mounting Options
If using box:
Place Dollar Tree floral foam inside the box. Insert the wire tree base into the floral foam. Tuck the fairy light controller into the box.
If using log slice:
Drill a hole in each log slice large enough to fit the tree's wire without going through. Stack one log slice on top of the other to display your duster tree.
