Giant Yard Strawberries
Materials
4 large red plastic buckets
20 thick green pool noodle slices, each about 2 inches thick
Red spray paint suitable for plastic
Green acrylic paint
Strong waterproof adhesive
Directions
Spray paint the outside of each red plastic bucket with red spray paint, ensuring an even coat and allowing it to dry completely.
Cut each pool noodle into slices approximately 2 inches thick, ensuring you have 20 slices in total.
Paint each pool noodle slice with green acrylic paint to resemble strawberry leaves and let them dry thoroughly.
Use the waterproof adhesive to attach five green pool noodle slices around the rim of each red bucket, arranging them in a star pattern to mimic the leaf crown of a strawberry.
Place the completed giant strawberries in your desired outdoor location, ensuring they are stable and secure.
Variations & Tips
For a more intricate design, consider adding black dots to the red buckets to represent strawberry seeds, using a waterproof black paint. Alternatively, vary the size of the pool noodle slices for a more natural, less uniform leaf appearance. If you have multiple garden areas, create a small cluster of these strawberries at varying heights by using different sized buckets to add depth and visual interest.
