Materials
- Shoebox
- Plastic palette
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Decorative paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
Instructions
1. Remove the lid from the shoebox and set it aside. Squirt some paint onto the palette and cover the outside of the shoebox with a coat of paint.
2. Place the box onto a sheet of decorative paper and trace around the base. Cut along the lines you drew so you have a piece of paper the same size as the bottom of the box.
3. Cover the bottom of the box with a layer of Mod Podge using a paintbrush. Press the piece of decorative paper onto the Mod Podge layer to secure it inside the box.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each side of the box. Use pieces that match the bottom to make it uniform or create visual interest by using a different pattern of paper.
5. Let it dry thoroughly before putting it into the drawer.
