Create a seashell frame that keeps summer-themed photos on display in style

Capturing memories in photographs is a wonderful way to look back on the past. Displaying those photos around the home gives guests a glimpse into special moments in time as well. When it’s time to highlight summer-themed photos, there’s no need to head out to the store in pursuit of the perfect frame. Instead, create a one of a kind summertime frame using a collection of seashells and stone-textured paint.

Any previously-used frame will do when it comes to this fun and simple summer upgrade. A stone-textured finish gives photos a sandy touch while some well-placed seashells spruce up the color and seaside homage. This frame provides the perfect place to display vacation photos or could even be used to exhibit destination wedding day favorites. Wherever this frame finds a place in the home, it’s sure to be an eye-catching addition that keeps memories looking fantastic.

-White picture frame, 5-by-7 inches
-Rust-oleum stone textured finish
-Clamrose seashells, 2
-Hot glue gun
-Hot glue sticks
-Decorative snail shells in various sizes, 20
-Faux pearl beads, 8

1. Spray a 5-inch by 7-inch picture frame using Rust-oleum stone textured finish. When it is covered completely, the frame will have a sandy-finish that’s rough to the touch.

2. Apply hot glue to the back underside of a large clamrose seashell, and press it to the bottom left corner of the frame.

3. Apply hot glue to the back of a colorful snail shell, and attach it to the right of the clamrose seashell.

4. Attach three smaller snail shells and two faux pearl beads around the clamrose seashell in a pleasing pattern.

5. Repeat this process of attaching shells to each corner of the frame. Use a second large clamrose seashell in the upper right corner of the frame and two large snail shells to act as the centerpiece of the top left and bottom right corners. Arrange beads and smaller shells in the corners in an aesthetically pleasing design.

6. Fit a favorite beach-themed photo into the seashell frame, and display it on an end table or shelf to enjoy!
