DIY Giant Lollipop Prop
Materials
2 foam pool noodles (1 red, 1 white)
Strong adhesive glue suitable for foam
Wooden dowel or PVC pipe (1 inch diameter, 4 feet long)
Clear tape
Scissors
Decorative ribbon (optional)
Directions
Lay the red and white pool noodles side by side on a flat surface.
Apply a generous amount of adhesive glue along the length of one side of the red noodle.
Press the white noodle firmly against the glued side of the red noodle, ensuring they align perfectly. Hold in place until the glue sets enough to keep them together.
Once the glue is dry, start coiling the noodles together in a spiral shape, beginning from one end and working towards the other.
As you coil, secure the shape by wrapping clear tape around the noodles at regular intervals. This will help maintain the spiral form.
Attach the wooden dowel or PVC pipe to the back of the spiral using adhesive glue. Ensure it is centered to provide balance when standing.
Allow the entire structure to dry completely. Optionally, tie a decorative ribbon around the dowel for added flair.
Variations & Tips
To personalize your giant lollipop, consider using pool noodles in different colors such as pink and yellow for a softer look or blue and green for a cooler tone. You can also add embellishments like glitter or small adhesive gems along the spiral for extra sparkle. For an oversized effect, use more than two noodles by continuing the spiral with additional colors. If you prefer a more compact lollipop, cut the noodles to shorter lengths before starting.
