DIY Boot Planter

Materials
2 yellow rain boots (adult size)
Potting soil (enough to fill both boots)
Small pebbles or gravel (for drainage)
2 small plants or flowers of your choice
Drill with a small drill bit (for drainage holes)
Directions
Start by cleaning the inside and outside of the rain boots thoroughly. Let them dry completely.
Using a drill, carefully make several small holes in the bottom of each boot for drainage.
Place a layer of small pebbles or gravel at the bottom of each boot to further assist with drainage.
Fill the rest of the boot with potting soil, leaving about 2 inches of space at the top.
Gently plant your chosen flowers or plants into the soil in each boot, ensuring the roots are well covered.
Water the plants lightly, being careful not to over-saturate the soil.
Position the boots on your front porch, adjusting them as needed to ensure they stand upright and are visible.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized touch, consider painting the boots with patterns or designs before planting. You can use acrylic paint for a durable finish. If yellow isn't your color, use boots in shades that match your home decor, such as green, blue, or red. Additionally, experiment with different types of plants depending on the season or your personal preference. Succulents can be a low-maintenance option, while bright flowers like marigolds or petunias can add a pop of color. For a more rustic look, consider using boots that have a worn or aged appearance.
