Wood glue
Screws (1.5 inches long)
Drill
Screwdriver
Sandpaper (medium and fine grit)
Wood stain or varnish (optional)

Directions
Begin by cleaning the oak drawers with a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris.
Sand the surfaces of the drawers, using medium grit sandpaper followed by fine grit, to ensure a smooth finish.
If desired, apply a wood stain or varnish to the drawers using a paintbrush. Allow them to dry completely according to the product instructions.
Position the first drawer on the floor, open side facing upwards.
Apply wood glue along the top edges of the first drawer.
Place the second drawer on top of the first, aligning the edges carefully. Secure the drawers together by drilling screws into the corners.
Repeat the gluing and screwing process to attach the third drawer on top of the second.
Allow the glue to dry completely before moving the shelf into place.
Once dry, carefully position the newly formed shelf in your desired location in the living room.
Variations & Tips
For variations, consider painting the drawers in your favorite color or using a vibrant wood stain to add a pop of color to your living room. You can also add decorative knobs or handles to the drawers for added flair. If you prefer a more industrial look, consider using metal brackets instead of screws to secure the drawers together. Experiment with different drawer sizes to create a customized shelf height that suits your space.
