DIY Artichoke Lampshade

Materials
1 large plastic water jug, empty and cleaned
100-150 white plastic spoons
Hot glue gun with glue sticks
Utility knife or scissors
Light fixture kit (bulb and cord set)
Spray paint (optional, for color variation)
Directions
Cut the top off the plastic water jug using the utility knife or scissors, leaving an open bottom to fit the light fixture.
Prepare the spoons by snapping off the handles, leaving just the spoon heads.
Starting at the bottom of the jug, glue the first row of spoon heads around the cut edge, with the concave side facing outwards. Ensure they overlap slightly, resembling artichoke leaves.
Continue gluing additional rows of spoons, overlapping each row slightly above the previous one, until the entire jug is covered in a spiral pattern.
Once the jug is completely covered, allow the glue to dry thoroughly.
If desired, spray paint the entire structure for a different color effect. Allow the paint to dry completely before proceeding.
Attach the light fixture kit to the open end of the jug, ensuring it is secure and safe to use.
Hang the lampshade in your desired location and enjoy the beautiful, artichoke-inspired glow.

Variations & Tips
To add a personal touch, consider using colored spoons or spray painting the spoons before gluing them onto the jug. This will create a unique color gradient or pattern. For a more eco-friendly option, use biodegradable spoons. If you prefer a more rustic look, consider using wooden spoons in a similar fashion. Additionally, adjust the size of the jug and number of spoons to create smaller or larger lampshades, accommodating different spaces and design preferences.
