Directions
Prepare your workspace by laying down newspaper or a tarp to protect surfaces from cement spills.
Choose silicone molds in shapes that fit your patio's design theme. Make sure they are clean and dry.
Apply a non-stick spray or mold release agent to the inside of each silicone mold to ensure easy removal of the cement weights.
In a mixing bowl, combine the gray liquid cement mix with water according to the package instructions. Stir the mixture with a stirring stick until it reaches a smooth, pourable consistency.
Carefully pour the cement mixture into each mold, filling them to the top.
Gently tap the molds on the surface to remove any air bubbles trapped in the cement.
Allow the cement to cure for the time specified on the package instructions, typically 24 to 48 hours.
Once fully cured, gently remove the cement weights from the molds.
Place the finished weights on the corners of your outdoor rug to keep it in place.

Variations & Tips
For a personalized touch, consider adding color to your cement mix with concrete dye, or embed decorative stones, shells, or glass pieces into the cement before it sets. You can also experiment with different mold shapes and sizes to create unique designs. Ensure the weights are appropriate for the size and weight of your rug to maintain both aesthetics and functionality.
