Materials
3 old mason jar lids of varying sizes
1 wooden dowel, 12 inches long and 0.5 inches in diameter
1 small wooden base, 5 inches in diameter
Sandpaper
Wood glue
Rust-oleum spray paint (optional, in metallic finish)
Directions
Step 1: Use sandpaper to gently remove rust and smooth out the edges of the mason jar lids. This will prepare them for assembly and give them a cleaner look.
Step 2: Arrange the mason jar lids in descending order of size and decide on the final stacking order.
Step 3: Take the wooden dowel and mark the spots where each lid will be positioned. Ensure the spacing between lids allows for easy placement of jewelry.
Step 4: Drill a small hole in the center of each lid to fit the dowel through.
Step 5: Insert the dowel into the wooden base and secure it with wood glue. Allow it to dry completely for stability.
Step 6: Slide each lid onto the dowel, starting with the largest at the bottom. Fix them in place with wood glue, ensuring they are level and evenly spaced.
Step 7: (Optional) If desired, spray paint the entire assembly with a metallic finish to give it a vintage look. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly before use.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized version, consider painting each mason jar lid a different color to match your room's color scheme. You can also use decorative paper or fabric to line the inside of each lid for added texture and protection for delicate jewelry. If you prefer a taller stand, use a longer dowel and additional lids to create more tiers. These variations allow you to tailor the jewelry stand to fit your personal taste and the specific needs of your jewelry collection.
