In recent trends, creative garden decor is all about adding a personal touch to your outdoor space. This DIY project transforms a simple glass vase and a river rock into a whimsical garden snail sculpture. Not only does this add character to your garden, but it also repurposes materials in a fun and artistic way, achieving the look of a sculptural art piece without breaking the bank.
Place this charming garden snail decor among lush green plants or at the entrance of a garden path to create an inviting and playful atmosphere. The metallic copper paint adds a touch of elegance and contrasts beautifully with natural elements, making it a standout piece. Consider pairing it with other copper-toned garden accessories or planters to create a cohesive look.

Materials
1 large clear glass vase (approximately 12 inches tall, cylindrical)
1 smooth gray river rock (approximately 6 inches wide)
Metallic copper spray paint
Heavy-duty adhesive suitable for glass and stone
Painter's tape
Protective gloves
Old newspaper or a drop cloth
Directions
Clean the glass vase and river rock thoroughly to remove any dirt or oils.
Place the river rock on a stable surface covered with newspaper or a drop cloth.
Apply a generous amount of heavy-duty adhesive to the top of the river rock.
Carefully position the glass vase upside-down onto the adhesive-covered rock, ensuring it is centered and stable. Let it dry according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
Once the adhesive is fully cured, mask off the bottom edge of the vase with painter's tape to create a clean line.
In a well-ventilated area or outdoors, spray paint the glass vase with metallic copper paint, applying even coats until fully covered. Let dry completely.
Remove the painter's tape carefully once the paint is dry.
Variations & Tips
For a different look, consider using a different color of metallic paint, such as silver or gold, to match your garden's theme. You could also experiment with vases of varying shapes and sizes to create a family of snails. Additionally, adding decorative elements like small pebbles or moss around the base can enhance the natural look of the sculpture and help it blend seamlessly into your garden.
