Giant Garden Mushroom Ornaments

Materials
6 silver mixing bowls (plastic, approximately 10 inches in diameter)
1 can of red spray paint
1 can of white spray paint
6 wooden dowels (1.5 inches in diameter, 3 feet tall)
Epoxy adhesive suitable for outdoor use
Sandpaper (medium grit)
Protective gloves
Old newspapers or a drop cloth
Directions
Lay down old newspapers or a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area to protect from paint overspray.
Using sandpaper, lightly scuff the surface of each silver mixing bowl to ensure the paint adheres properly.
Spray the exterior of each bowl with red spray paint, applying multiple thin coats for an even finish. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
Once the red paint is dry, use the white spray paint to add polka dots to each bowl, mimicking a classic mushroom appearance. Allow to dry completely.
Take each wooden dowel and position them in your desired garden location, pushing them into the ground until stable. If necessary, use a mallet to secure them.
Apply a generous amount of epoxy adhesive to the top end of each dowel.
Carefully place a painted mixing bowl upside down onto each dowel, ensuring the adhesive makes contact. Hold in place until the adhesive sets.
Allow the entire assembly to cure according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before exposing to outdoor elements.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized touch, consider using different colors for the mushroom caps, such as a deep forest green or a bright yellow, to better match your garden's color scheme. You can also experiment with different sizes of mixing bowls to create a variety of mushroom sizes, adding depth and interest to your display. If wooden dowels are not available, consider using metal rods for a more industrial look or PVC pipes for a lightweight alternative. Additionally, applying a clear outdoor varnish over the painted surface can provide extra protection against the elements, extending the life of your garden ornaments.
