This DIY project transforms vintage glass lamp shades and a metal candlestick holder into a charming birdbath, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to your backyard. Clean all glass lamp shades with rubbing alcohol and a cloth to ensure they are free from dust and grease. Let them dry completely.

Arrange the glass shades in the desired stacking order, starting with the largest at the bottom and the smallest at the top. Experiment with different configurations until you find a visually pleasing arrangement.

Apply a generous amount of clear waterproof silicone adhesive to the bottom rim of the largest glass shade.

Place the candlestick holder upside down, so the base is at the top, and press the largest glass shade onto the base, ensuring it is centered and stable. Allow the adhesive to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Continue stacking the remaining glass shades, applying adhesive between each layer. Ensure each shade is centered and stable before moving on to the next.

Once all the shades are stacked and secured, let the entire structure cure for at least 24 hours.

Optionally, apply a clear spray sealant to the glass for added durability against the elements.

For a different aesthetic, consider using colored glass shades to match or contrast with your garden's color palette. You can also paint the metal candlestick in a weather-resistant paint to better suit your outdoor decor theme. For increased durability, ensure all adhesive connections are fully cured before exposure to moisture.
