3. Place a fresh leaf with the veined side facing up inside each plastic bowl.
4. Pour a layer of concrete mix into the bowl, covering the leaf entirely while pressing gently to ensure the leaf pattern transfers to the concrete.
5. Add more concrete mix to fill the bowl, layering and pressing down to eliminate air bubbles.
6. Allow the concrete to set for 24 to 48 hours, or until fully hardened.
7. Once dry, gently flex the plastic bowl to release the concrete stone.
8. Peel the leaf away from the concrete, revealing the leaf pattern imprinted on the stone.
9. Repeat for each bowl to create a set of four stepping stones.
Variations & Tips
For a personalized touch, consider adding color to your stepping stones by mixing in concrete dye before pouring. You could also experiment with different leaf shapes and sizes for unique patterns. If you prefer a glossy finish, apply a concrete sealant after the stones have cured to enhance durability and weather resistance.
