Denim Pocket Wall Caddy

Materials
5 old denim pockets (cut from jeans)
1 piece of fabric (16x20 inches) as backing
Fabric glue or sewing kit (needle and thread)
1 wooden dowel (18 inches long)
2 pieces of twine (each 24 inches long)
Scissors
Ruler
Iron
Directions
Cut out five pockets from old denim jeans, ensuring each has a clean edge.
Lay out the 16x20 inch fabric piece on a flat surface and iron out any wrinkles.
Arrange the denim pockets on the fabric backing in two rows, with three pockets on the top row and two on the bottom, or in a staggered pattern according to your preference.
Once satisfied with the arrangement, use fabric glue around the edges of each pocket to secure them to the backing fabric, or sew them on using a needle and thread for a more durable finish.
Allow the glue to dry completely if used, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Attach the wooden dowel at the top of the backing fabric by folding the fabric over the dowel and securing it with glue or stitches.
Tie the two pieces of twine to each end of the dowel, ensuring they are secure and even in length to form a hanger.
Trim any excess fabric or threads for a neat finish.

Variations & Tips
For a personalized touch, consider embellishing the denim pockets with fabric paint or patches before attaching them to the backing. To increase storage capacity, add more pockets or use larger pockets from other clothing items. Experiment with different backing fabrics, such as burlap or canvas, to suit various decor styles. If a more permanent fixture is desired, attach the bottom edge of the backing fabric to a second dowel for added stability.
