Mason Jar Hanging Spice Rack

Materials
3 old mason jars with lids
12 feet of galvanized wire (16 gauge)
1 wooden plank (24 inches long, 6 inches wide)
Screws (1 inch, set of 6)
Drill with a drill bit suitable for the screws
Wire cutters
Sandpaper (medium grit)
Wood stain or paint (optional)
Directions
Sand the wooden plank to remove any rough edges and prepare the surface for finishing.
Optional: Apply wood stain or paint to the plank and allow it to dry completely.
Measure and mark three evenly spaced points along the plank where the mason jars will hang.
Drill small pilot holes at each marked point on the plank.
Cut three equal lengths of wire, each 4 feet long.
Wrap each wire securely around the neck of a mason jar, leaving enough excess wire to form a loop for hanging.
Thread the excess wire at the end through the drilled holes in the plank, then twist the ends to secure the jars in place.
Attach the plank to the wall using screws, ensuring it is level and securely fastened.
Fill the mason jars with your favorite spices, screw on the lids, and hang the plank on the wall.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized spice rack, consider painting the mason jar lids in colors that match your kitchen decor. Alternatively, use different sizes of mason jars to accommodate various spice quantities. You can also swap the wooden plank for a metal or painted board for a more contemporary look. If you prefer a more polished finish, use copper or brass wire instead of galvanized wire to add a touch of elegance. These variations allow you to tailor the spice rack to your specific style while maintaining the core structure.
