Muffin Tin Modular Wall Organizer
Materials
5 old metal muffin tins
Drill with metal drill bits
12 small bolts with nuts
Measuring tape
Pencil
Wall anchors and screws
Spray paint (optional for color customization)
Directions
Arrange the 5 muffin tins in a pattern that you find visually appealing. A common choice is a straight vertical or horizontal line, or a staggered pattern.
Using the measuring tape and pencil, mark where the muffin tins will be bolted together. Ensure that the marks are evenly spaced and aligned for a neat appearance.
Drill holes through the marked spots on the edges of the muffin tins. Make sure the holes are large enough for the bolts to pass through.
Align the tins according to your pattern and insert bolts through the holes, securing them with nuts on the other side. Tighten each bolt to ensure stability.
If desired, spray paint the entire structure for a uniform look or to match your interior decor. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Determine where on your wall you want to mount the organizer. Mark the spots where the wall anchors will go, ensuring they align with the edges of the outer muffin tins.
Drill holes in the wall and insert wall anchors, then screw the organizer into place using the screws.
Variations & Tips
For a more personalized touch, consider painting the muffin tins in different colors for an eclectic look, or use patterned washi tape to line the inside of each tin for added design flair. If you prefer a more rustic appearance, use weathered muffin tins and leave them unpainted to showcase their vintage charm. You can also add small hooks to the bottom row of tins for hanging keys or lightweight items, enhancing the organizer's functionality while staying true to its original design.
