Two folding wooden sawhorse legs
Chicken wire (approximately 3 feet by 6 feet)
Staple gun with staples
Sandpaper (medium grit)
Wood screws (1.5 inches)

Position the sawhorse legs at each end of the door, approximately 5 inches from the edges, and ensure they are evenly spaced.
Using a drill, secure the door onto the sawhorse legs with wood screws, drilling through the top of the door into the sawhorse legs.
Cut the chicken wire to fit the width and length between the sawhorse legs, using protective gloves and safety goggles.
Attach the chicken wire to the lower crossbars of the sawhorse legs using a staple gun, ensuring it is taut to form a sturdy shelf.
Double-check all connections for stability and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the bench is secure.
Variations & Tips
For increased durability, consider sealing the door with a clear outdoor wood sealant to protect it from moisture and wear. Alternatively, paint the door in a bold color to match your garden decor or to add a pop of color to your garage. To enhance functionality, attach hooks to the sides for hanging frequently used tools, or add a wooden backboard to support vertical storage solutions such as small shelves or pegboards.
