Teal Wooden Dowel Pool Float Organizer

Materials
1 reclaimed pallet board (approximately 48x40 inches)
Teal outdoor wood paint (1 quart)
6 thick white wooden dowels (1.5 inches diameter, 12 inches long each)
Electric drill
Drill bit (slightly smaller than dowel diameter)
Wood screws (1.5 inches long)
Paintbrush or roller
Sandpaper (medium grit)
Measuring tape
Pencil
Protective gloves
Safety goggles
Directions
Start by sanding the pallet board to remove any rough edges and splinters.
Wipe the board clean to remove dust and debris.
Apply a coat of teal paint to the entire board, using a paintbrush or roller for even coverage. Allow it to dry completely.
While the paint dries, measure and mark evenly spaced points along one side of the board where the dowels will be mounted. Aim for six points, spaced about 8 inches apart.
Using the drill and appropriate drill bit, carefully drill holes at each marked point. Make sure the holes are slightly smaller than the dowel diameter for a snug fit.
Insert each dowel into the holes, aligning them perpendicular to the board surface.
Secure each dowel from the back of the board using wood screws to ensure they are firmly attached.
Once all dowels are mounted and secured, double-check their stability.
Mount the completed organizer on your desired wall, ensuring it is at a convenient height for accessing pool floats.

Variations & Tips
For a more personalized touch, consider using different paint colors to match your outdoor decor or adding decorative stencils for a unique design. To increase durability, apply a weather-resistant sealant. Alternative materials such as metal rods might offer a more industrial look, while using different sizes of dowels can accommodate a variety of pool float sizes. Ensure the pallet board is securely mounted to a sturdy structure to handle the weight of multiple floats.
