4 wire mesh trash cans, approximately 12 inches in diameter and 24 inches in height
1 can of spray paint in your desired color (e.g., matte black or bronze)
4 large warm white LED solar lights
4 mounting brackets or clamps suitable for securing the solar lights to the trash cans
Protective gloves and mask
Newspapers or drop cloth for spray painting area
Directions
1. Prepare your work area by laying down newspapers or a drop cloth to protect surfaces from paint.
2. Wearing protective gloves and a mask, take one wire mesh trash can and evenly coat it with spray paint. Allow it to dry completely before moving on to the next one. Repeat this process for all four trash cans.
3. Once the trash cans are dry, take one LED solar light and secure it to the bottom of a trash can using a mounting bracket or clamp. Ensure the light is centered and stable. Repeat this step for the remaining three trash cans and solar lights.
4. Place the newly created lanterns around your patio. Ensure they receive adequate sunlight during the day to charge the solar lights.

Variations & Tips
To personalize your lanterns, consider experimenting with different spray paint colors to match your patio's aesthetic. Metallic finishes like gold or copper can add a touch of elegance, while bold colors like teal or red introduce a playful element. For added stability, consider weighting the bottom of the trash cans with decorative stones or sand. You can also attach small hooks or decorative elements to the wire mesh for additional charm.
