2. Apply a weatherproof wood stain to the cedar beams using a paintbrush. Allow them to dry completely as per the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Whitewash the cinder blocks by mixing outdoor white paint with water (1:1 ratio). Apply the mixture using a paintbrush, ensuring all surfaces are evenly covered. Let them dry thoroughly.
4. Arrange 6 cinder blocks in a U-shape on the ground where the couch will be placed. Ensure they are level and aligned using a level.
5. Insert two cedar beams horizontally through the openings of the cinder blocks to form the seat base.
6. Stack another layer of 6 cinder blocks directly on top of the first layer, maintaining the U-shape.
7. Insert the remaining two cedar beams through the openings of the top layer of cinder blocks for the backrest.
8. Double-check the stability of the structure and make any necessary adjustments to ensure everything is secure and level.
9. Allow the structure to settle for a day before adding cushions and accessories.

Variations & Tips
Consider using different wood types like teak or redwood for the beams for a richer color and enhanced durability. For a more vibrant look, paint the cinder blocks in bold colors or patterns. To increase comfort, add a custom-cut foam cushion covered with weather-resistant fabric on the seat. For a more permanent installation, use construction adhesive between the blocks. Add personal touches like string lights or an outdoor rug to enhance the ambiance of your new patio oasis.
