Cement Organizer Blocks

Materials
Plastic tackle box trays (3-4 trays of varying shapes)
Quick-setting cement mix (5 lbs)
Water (as per cement mix instructions)
Mixing bucket
Stirring stick
Cooking spray or petroleum jelly
Sandpaper (medium grit)
Directions
Lightly coat the inside of each tackle box tray with cooking spray or petroleum jelly to ensure easy release of the cement once set.
In a mixing bucket, combine the quick-setting cement mix with water according to the manufacturer's instructions. Stir until smooth.
Pour the wet cement into the prepared tackle box trays, filling each compartment evenly to the top.
Gently tap the sides of the trays to remove air bubbles and ensure the cement settles uniformly.
Allow the cement to cure as per the instructions on the cement mix package, typically 24-48 hours.
Once fully set, carefully remove the cement blocks from the trays. Use medium-grit sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.
Arrange the completed blocks on a workbench or shelf, using their compartments to organize small tools or accessories.

Variations & Tips
For a personalized touch, consider adding a few drops of acrylic paint into the cement mix for a hint of color. Alternatively, use silicone molds with themed shapes for a playful twist on the compartments. You can also embed small decorative stones or tiles into the surface of the wet cement before it sets, adding texture and contrast to the finished blocks.
