Vintage Wagon Bar Cart

Materials
1 vintage metal wagon frame, approximately 36 inches in length
4 weathered wooden planks, each 36 inches long and 6 inches wide
8 carriage bolts, 1/4 inch diameter, 2 inches long
8 matching nuts and washers
Electric drill with 1/4 inch drill bit
Socket wrench
Sandpaper (medium and fine grit)
Wood stain or sealant (optional)
Measuring tape
Pencil
Directions
1. Prepare the wooden planks by sanding them down to remove any rough edges, using medium grit sandpaper followed by fine grit for a smooth finish.
2. Optionally, apply wood stain or sealant to each plank according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and allow them to dry completely.
3. Place one wooden plank across the top of the wagon frame, aligning the edges with the frame’s sides. Use a pencil to mark where the bolts will go through the plank and the wagon's metal frame.
4. Drill holes through the marked spots on the wooden plank using the electric drill with a 1/4 inch bit.
5. Align the plank on the wagon frame again, and drill matching holes through the metal frame.
6. Insert a carriage bolt through each hole, from the wooden plank down through the metal frame. Secure each bolt with a washer and nut from underneath, using a socket wrench to tighten.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the remaining wooden planks, spacing them evenly across the wagon frame.
8. Once all planks are securely bolted to the frame, ensure the cart is stable and all bolts are tightly fastened.

Variations & Tips
For a more colorful option, consider painting the wooden planks in vibrant hues before assembly. Alternatively, use reclaimed metal sheets for an industrial look. To increase durability, apply a weather-resistant sealant to protect the wood from outdoor elements. For added functionality, attach hooks or racks to the cart’s sides for hanging bar tools or kitchen towels. Customize further with personalized engravings or stencil designs on the wooden surface.
